Four Selves of the EMC

Like the multiple rights seen in MEs, Ecosystem Micro-Communities also benefit from **four forms of autonomy** representing a discontinuity regarding traditional organizational design mechanisms. They are: * **Self-organized**, as micro-enterprises autonomously decide when to organize in an EMC, only when one is **really needed**. EMCs are not designed centrally or top-down but spontaneously created by Micro- Enterprises. * **Self-motivated** as the EMC is a **community of common interests**, sharing a **unified source of revenues**. Therefore, everyone is self-motivated within the EMC and supervises and supports others. * **Self-value creation** as the amount of pay each EMC member receives depends on the amount of **value the entire EMC creates **for its users. Therefore, the EMC will continue to strive for higher value creation in pursuit of higher value sharing. * **Self-evolving** rather than staying put after creating value for users, an EMC should continue to create **new value** through constant expansion and innovation. This process will allow **new EMCs** to emerge.
